Mandel bread has always been part of all
family gatherings. The meal would not be
considered complete if not for the much
loved dessert.
One day we were on vacation in Boston and
walked into a cafe for coffee and a biscotti,
where to our amazement, they did not have
biscotti. I mentioned to the cafe owner
that I had a business back in NJ called
"Auntie Ellyn's" mandel bread.
He was very interested and said that he'd
love to sample my product.
After I shipped out the first order, and
received a wonderful response from the owner,
I realized that this is something that needs
to be shared with everyone...and the rest
is history.
Flavors are created weekly, and friends
and family get the honor of tasting each
new flavor-- quite an enjoyable job! I still
serve mandel bread at all of my family gatherings,
but now I can share my secret family recipe
with the rest of the world.
